Amanda Kucich, MPA and CTRS, is a graduate of the Eller School of Public Administration and Public Policy and a Peace Corps Fellow alum. She is currently working for United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona as Youth Development Director. Her main assignment in the Peace Corps was as a teacher trainer in the area of special needs education. She worked at a small school with about 30 students and 5 teachers. At the school she helped the teachers develop curricula and better use resources. The experience that meant the most to her involved helping a 16 year old disabled student mainstream at a Samoan high school. She remembers the Samoan people as the kindest, most generous and respectful people she has ever met.
