What is the name of the tunic, cape or vest that represented bad luck or omen in greek mythology?


It burned people when they wore it.
Well, it is interpreted as bad luck or omen.
Yessss!!!!! Nessus!! Thank You! Ive been breaking my head thinking about this!

The only example I know of this is the tunic Heracles wore at the behest of his wife, which she had painted with the lifeblood of Nessus. Nessus - Heracles´ mortal enemy - claimed his blood was an unfailing love potion, but in fact it, because of Heracles´ arrows which killed him, contained the deadly venom of the Hydra. When the venom touched Heracles´ skin, it caught fire and melted into his flesh.

Another item of clothing which spelled doom was Athena´s cuirass (some say it was a shield) with the head of Medusa set in it - the Aegis.
