I've heard that the life of a pilot isn't a very easy one. Away from home and their families alot. Horrible hours. But what bugs me i suppose is the fact that if this is true, why do people keep becoming one? So if anyone has any info on whether or not this is true, I would appreciate it very much so. Thank you

yes it is true but some people dont mind that kind of life, being away from your family for days at a time means you also go days at a time without working where you can spend time with your family, you also get to travel to a lot of great places and if flying is your passion then it doesnt matter about the bad hours because you are doing what you love.
