Renting a house in south yarmouth, ma with my husband for labor day weekend and I dont want to stay in all day.We like nice historic buildings, museums etc etc... We are in our mid twenties. Not going there to lay on the beach or swim. One thing I have planned is Whale Watching cruise from Barnstable harbor. Any other suggestions?
Thank You!
Have a Great Labor Day weekend! :)

The main things to do on the Cape are going to the beach and shopping
The only museum I could think of is the Wood's Hole Oceanographic Observatory. And there is supposedly a glass museum in Sandwich, I don't know anything about it, though. There is a wildlife refuge in Welfleet run by Mass Audubon. You could take a wildlife tour of Monomoy Island. Provincetown has a really cool hip scene, and you could explore the dunes on the bike trails they have there. And if you do go to the beach, the best beaches are on Cape Cod National Seashore, I recommend Coast Guard Beach, which is also great for wildlife viewing (I have seen seals there)
There are a few museums in Nantucket, you could take the ferry to get there
What do you think? Answer below!
