Fire surge can hit at least 1106 with staff of light, fire cape, , arcane stream necklace, 106 magic (overload or extreme magic, although with extreme magic your level falls each minute). At the time I made this video I hadn't experimented with the cannon location a whole lot, but later I found that it is much better to put the cannon about 3 squares west and 1 square south of where it is in the video. Using this new spot I have been able to kill ice strykewyrms at a rate of 48k slayer xp/hour when focused.
