Q&A: College - Northeastern or NYU?

I've been looking at these blogs all night to see if anyone else was trying to decide between these two as well. I've planned on going to Northeastern since I was in 10th grade, but I wasn't really thinking about acedemics that much then it was more based on the exictment of living on my own, meeting new people, having in fun in the city, etc. And I love the campus and Boston is a great city it feels a lot more sheltered and guided than New York. And the Co-op program seems really helpful too. But at the same time I love the more vibrant, chaotic, unknowing style of New York. I live on Long Island so I go into the city a lot. It's also more of a risk too, which can be good and bad. It's exciting, but you're also giving up that campus-typical-school spirit-football game experience. I'm not really sure which one I want more. Boston is the kind of place I think I'd be happy with for a year or two and then I'd want to move on to somewhere more real world and independent like NYC. But they're both great school, and they're opposites..soo this is really hard.

On the acedemic and financial side of things, I got a scholarship for NEU and nothing for NYU, which is already a lot more expensive. And I was admitted to the Liberal Studies Program for the first two years, and then to the CAS, where I may be limited on my major, because the area I want to deal with, (art and business), a lot of the programs are focused in the Tisch and Stern school. However, at Northeastern I'd be in the CAS Arts, Media, & Design starting freshman year. But at the same time, NYC is NYC, there's so much opportunity and I feel like an NYU diploma has a lot of weight.

I don't know!! .. anyone dealing with the same thing, or any comments?

They are both good schools and I'm sure you'll be getting a good education from both.
If you applied as an undergraduate student, I think you should attend whichever one is cheaper. Save up your money for grad school. That's when you'll really need it.
